Story

The story

In a retirement home, a woman named Jane recalls the husband she lost forty years ago, Ryan, who gave her his heart. A newcomer, Lily, once Ryan's secretary, shatters the memory: Ryan faked his death and lived a hidden life with her.

Jane wakes to find herself young again, on the Christmas when Ryan, dressed as Santa, hands her the gift that once triggered her heart attack. This time she opens it knowingly, and the same tragedy unfolds—yet she refuses to grieve.

Searching for the truth, Jane finds a delivery address and a stranger's posts from a coastal town in Florida, where Ryan and Lily built a life. She flies there seeking an answer, and learns how long they had truly known each other.
