Arrogance Knows No Bounds

Alice locks her five-year-old twins in the basement because they upset Ethan, her childhood flame. Their father, Liam, begs her on his knees to release them, but she dismisses him and leans into Ethan's arms.

In the dark, the hungry twins find a forgotten bag of dried shrimp. Both are rushed to the hospital with a severe seafood allergy, their airways swelling shut. Meanwhile, Ethan posts that Alice is six weeks pregnant. When Liam calls Alice from the ER, she mocks him and hangs up. The twins die of anaphylactic shock.

At the Blackwood estate, Liam asks Mark to let him go. Mr. Blackwood, who raised Liam as his own, tells him he is free after the cremation. Alice then storms in, accusing Liam of lying about the children and of scheming to keep her.
