Story

The story

Aria has spent three years as Chase's girlfriend, enduring his coldness while he dotes on Chloe, the head cheerleader. When Chloe reads Aria's diary aloud at a party, everyone learns Aria's secret: she never loved Chase. He has always been a stand-in for someone else — someone whose face Chase shares.

Humiliated, Chase demands to know who the other man is, but Aria turns the question back on him, asking why he let Chloe expose her private diary. Chloe smooths things over, and Chase dismisses Aria as dramatic. At work, he hands her hard-won project to Chloe and slaps Aria when she speaks back.

Then a text arrives from a number Aria knows by heart: "I'm back." With five days left before everything ends, Aria stops fighting and starts counting down.

After my boyfriend Chase's hockey game, he threw a party with his friends to celebrate.

At the party, Chloe, the head cheerleader, pulled out a diary. With a mischievous smirk, she asked the crowd,
