Story

The story

On her wedding day, Helen is abandoned by Maverick Lowe, who uses her as bait to rescue Janet Stewart from kidnappers. Left to the gang, she is tormented, and indecent videos of her flood the internet. Maverick publicly brands her a disgrace and breaks their engagement, then parades Janet as his bride.

Helen's childhood friend Alfred Hawkins confesses his love and vows to shelter her. They marry and have a daughter, Ruby, building a quiet happiness — until Helen overhears Alfred and Janet: Yoana, Janet's child, needs a heart, and Alfred plans an accident so Ruby's heart will be delivered to her. He admits he arranged the kidnapping that ruined Helen.

Helen hides her horror, tending Ruby while Alfred plays the devoted husband. When Alfred carries Janet into their home, Helen must decide how to protect her daughter.
