Paralyzed by Malpractice, Betrayed by My Father

A hospital's medication error leaves a young woman trapped in a vegetative state, able to hear everything around her but unable to move. Her father, the renowned Dr. Alvin Attwood, testifies under oath to shield the doctor responsible, the only son of his mentor, hospital director Dr. Ben Fletcher, and publicly blames her condition on bad luck.

Now her parents have agreed to a euthanasia protocol, and her mother, Meredith Blake, sits by the bed apologising while the paperwork is prepared. Her father speaks of compensation and of repaying his mentor, and calls ending her life a rational medical decision. Listening to every word, she discovers she can move a finger and an eye again, and resolves to regain control of her body before the tubes are removed.

Then a medical intern, Nolan Mercer, slips into her room with her medication logs, saying some things do not add up.
