Three Scars：Betrayed by the Don

In New York, Viola Rossi has been the woman at the side of Godfather Gavin Whitestone for ten years, and he has loved her fiercely. Yet three times he has chosen Sofia Bianchi over her: the night shrapnel tore into her ribs while every doctor was sent to Sofia, the night he carried Sofia out and slammed Viola against a doorframe, and the night he took her father's revolver from her and handed it to Sofia to make her smile.

When a sniper's bullet shatters the casino window, Gavin shields Sofia and leaves Viola exposed, bleeding and alone. That bullet kills the last of her love. Viola resolves to leave him, and turns to Sofia herself, offering a deal: help her obtain Gavin's signature on divorce papers, and the title, the power and the man can all be Sofia's.

With the signed papers hidden and a new identity arranged, Viola rides beside Gavin through Manhattan. But when Sofia calls in panic, Gavin stops the car on the expressway in a downpour and tells Viola to find her own way.
