Story

The story

After more than a dozen rounds of IVF, a wife finally becomes pregnant, only to discover that the embryo inside her belongs to her husband, James Carter, and the family maid, Mandy Wood. The two have schemed to make her disappear so the child can inherit everything she owns. She says nothing, carries the baby to term, and raises the boy, Calvin, with love.

Years later, the couple she trusted still surrounds her, and Calvin calls Mandy "Ms. Wood" while clinging to her side. The wife watches the three of them laugh together, feeling like an outsider in her own home, even as she keeps her smile and her secret.

She has already made a quiet move of her own, and she intends to see it through, whatever it costs.
