My Bestie Became My Husband's Wife

After her husband Ethan Holt returns from a business trip bearing the marks of an affair, Vivian does not scream or fight. She sits him down with her pregnancy test and offers a choice: divorce, or end things with the other woman. He chooses the family, and she swallows her hurt. When the baby is born, Ethan confesses that the woman was her best friend Jessica, that they were together while she labored, and that Jessica has been monitoring him all along. Their marriage license, he says, is fake; the real one belongs to Jessica.

Ethan blames Vivian for an old kidnapping abroad, believing Jessica saved him while Vivian fled. Vivian knows the truth: she ran thirty kilometers barefoot to send their location, and was violated for it. Because of that lie, Ethan spent five years making her bear a child for Jessica, while her mother and his friends kept the secret.

Stripped of her room and her health, Vivian is left with a newborn, a body wrecked by IVF, and a husband who says she is nothing without him. She begins calling lawyers, one by one.
