Story

The story

For three years, Marina has brought a young man home for herself and a college girl for her husband Dylan, testing the limits of a man her friends mock for his obsessive need for fidelity. Dylan always paid the girls to leave. This time Marina brings Troy, a college student who wants a ring before she carries her pregnancy to term, and Ivy, a top pre-law student on a full scholarship. She proposes a temporary divorce so she and Troy can marry, offering Ivy to Dylan in the meantime.

Dylan agrees. He lets Ivy stay in the guest room, signs the divorce papers, and ignores Marina's sudden late-night text telling him to sleep early. Troy moves in, Ivy moves in, and the house fills with whispers that he is only trying to provoke his wife.

Marina believes Dylan will never touch another woman. Watching Ivy blush in the kitchen the next morning, Dylan smiles at how wrong she is.
