The Big Win

Joel Cole wins $8.88 million in the lottery, but when he refuses to sign a minimum $5,000 charitable donation form at the prize claim center, the presenter, Lisa, confiscates his ticket and has security throw him out. She tells him his prize will now go through a long official process that could take a month, or half a year.

That night, Joel becomes public enemy number one. "The Greediest Lottery Winner in History" trends online, and angry netizens track down his address, threatening to livestream and force him to donate. His own mother calls, demanding money for his brother's dowry and other relatives, then curses him when he refuses.

Joel races home, desperate to protect something inside apartment 401. A mob of streamers and strangers beats him and breaks down his door, ransacking the rundown apartment as cameras roll.
