The Agony of Unspoken Goodbyes

On the day of her husband Preston Prescott's funeral, Audrey overhears his best friend on the phone and learns the death is a lie: Preston is alive at a gaming hotel with a rebellious girl named Roxy. She follows him there and watches him dote on Roxy, who demands he divorce Audrey and tattoo her name on his chest. He agrees without hesitation, mocking Audrey as emotionally numb, rigid and boring, a convenient wife who would dutifully manage the Prescott estate even if he truly died.

Back home, her mother-in-law urges her to remarry, and Audrey finally answers, "Okay." She returns to the bungee tower where she and Preston first met, remembering how he once freed her from her parents' rigid rules, and how he changed six months ago. When she gets down, Roxy smashes her car window and warns her to go along with the divorce.

Audrey must now decide what to do with a marriage built on a vow that has already expired.
