Story

The story

Lisa Jones and James Sachs have loved each other across distance for three years. A hospital chief, James has flown abroad countless times to see her, sending thousand-word letters and million-dollar necklaces, and keeping 988 plane tickets as proof of a love meant to reach a thousand. Lisa studies hard abroad, hiding her exhaustion, only wanting to return to him sooner.

Flying home early as a surprise, Lisa overhears James tell his friends that the love has run its course. Outside, she watches him embrace Tina Childe, an intern he once claimed he no longer saw. Now Lisa must decide whether a love she crossed the world for can survive what she has seen.
