Story

The story

Isabella, the only princess of the Vettori family, has spent five years married to Marco, heir to the Rossi family. At their anniversary dinner, her best friend Sofia lingers too close to Marco, and Isabella quietly begins to see the pattern behind it. When Marco later comes to her bed, she tells him the alliance is over and they are finished.

Marco rages, calling her paranoid, but Isabella lays out every detail: the way he shielded Sofia from another man's gaze, the steak knife he cut for her, the '82 Macallan waiting at her seat. She shows him their wedding photo, where his hand rests behind her, brushing Sofia's dress. He storms out, warning her that tomorrow he becomes Don of the Rossi family.

Isabella follows him to Sofia's private suite, where a listening device reveals Marco's contempt for her and the truth about Sofia. Her father's warning echoes: a lion does not lie down with a lamb.
