She Stole My Last Breath

Hallie discovers her medical clearance waiver is gone from her dorm room, the document that keeps her out of preseason field conditioning despite her chronic, exercise-induced asthma. On a group call, Savannah squeals that Jordan's medical note won her a full exemption from drills, while Jordan and Bryce insist Hallie is built tough enough to run under the sun.

Savannah later admits Jordan handed over the waiver, claiming it was wasted in Hallie's drawer, and reveals she tossed Hallie's blue rescue inhaler down the trash chute. When Hallie, gasping in the hallway, tells Bryce her inhaler is gone, he accuses her of turning a minor inconvenience into a federal case and tells her to let Savannah have this one.

Labeled resilient and easygoing, Hallie stops arguing. If they believe she cannot be broken, she will let them watch her shatter.
