On the Divorce Reality Show

A semi-retired actress has spent five years as the wife of billionaire Hector Sinclair, a union the public reads as a boss and employee arrangement rather than a marriage. When her agent presents a contract for a divorce reality show, she asks to review it first — a small act of independence that her husband, hearing of it through his assistant Anne Lane, dismisses as a tantrum and a sign she has not grown up.

On the phone, Hector reminds her that divorce would be a lose-lose situation for two business partners with intertwined stakes, and urges her to learn from Anne, the poised university graduate who shares his world. He does not know that this time she means it.

At the recording set, the two cars arrive together; Anne fastens Hector's suit buttons while his wife unloads her own luggage alone, the distance between them feeling like a galaxy.
