Old Love Cancellation

Cora has spent three years in Seaside City beside her fiancé Everett, a doctor whose wedding to her has been postponed six times. When a patient's pen nearly strikes her eye in the Neurology Department, Everett shields Addie, the daughter of Dean, and Cora notices the diamond necklace she had believed was her own birthday gift. A message taunts her, and she books a flight home to A City for three days later, tearing up the pregnancy test she had meant to show him.

At home, Everett gives her cat Purr to Addie and leaves when Cora objects. Searching the house, she finds a black lace bra and a torn condom wrapper, and camera audio reveals Everett with Addie. After a miscarriage she keeps to herself, Cora goes to retrieve Purr and finds Everett at Addie's door. Addie's account shows the two of them together with the cat.

As Addie's provocations continue and Everett's excuses mount, Cora signs her resignation and quietly prepares to leave.
