My Brother Chose A Gold Digger Over Me, So I Left Him With Nothing

After their parents die in a car crash, Chloe gives up college to raise her twelve-year-old brother Leo, working diners and grocery aisles until she builds her own company. She bleeds herself dry for him, even collapsing into a coma from internal bleeding, telling the doctor she cannot die because her little brother needs her.

At twenty, Leo secretly gets a vasectomy to prove his devotion to Amber, a thirty-six-year-old twice-divorced woman with a middle-school son. He demands Chloe hand over a hundred and fifty thousand dollars for their wedding and starter fund, then asks her to donate twenty grand to enroll Amber's son in an elite prep school. When Chloe refuses and slaps him, Leo calls her a controlling freak who is only his sister, not his mother.

Amber offers false sympathy, promising Chloe a monthly allowance in her old age. Chloe sees the truth: Amber is hunting the wealth behind Leo, and her brother believes he has found love.
