The Nurse Who Tried to Ruin Me

After collapsing at her desk from a string of all-nighters, a woman is rushed to the hospital by her panicked boss and settles in for an IV drip, hoping to finally sleep. But a young nurse keeps shaking her awake, accusing her of faking and mocking her for having no boyfriend or friends to sit with her. When the woman explains that her IV alarm will beep when the bag runs low, the nurse slaps her and demands she sign a paper taking responsibility for anything that happens during the drip.

She orders her own alarm, but the nurse keeps returning, now taunting her in front of other patients and whispering with a colleague. Each time the woman tries to rest, she is jolted awake again, and when she finally snaps, the nurse's eyes fill with tears.

Exhausted and furious, the woman wonders what she ever did to deserve this.
