The Missing Sixth

After his engagement, Clark joins his fiancée Brielle Rice and their friends for one last trip before the wedding. Anders Greer proposes a 24-Hour Couple Swap, and in round after round, Clark draws the blank card while Brielle and Anders keep drawing matching symbols. On the final night they draw wedding-dress cards, and Anders slips Clark's own engagement ring onto Brielle's finger.

When Clark opens the boxes, every card in his is blank, while theirs are full of matches. He deletes the digital wedding invitations he had prepared. Back at the hotel, the group insists Brielle share Anders's suite and Clark sleep on the sofa bed outside. He books no room and takes the lobby instead.

By morning the five have gone to breakfast without him, and at the marina Brielle wears Anders's shirt. Clark, who planned and paid for the whole trip, stands apart with their bags as the yacht pulls out.
