Story

The story

Seven years after Rosa vanished in a landslide and was presumed dead, she returns to the Crestwood estate with a new man, Gavin, and demands that Sean quietly sign divorce papers so she can marry him. She assumes Sean has spent the years pining for her and will obey as he always did.

Sean, however, has moved on. He is now Vice President of Crestwood Industries and husband to Victoria, Rosa's aunt, who married him after Rosa fled their wedding. When Rosa refuses to believe it and turns her fury on Sean's young daughter, Zoe, the household is forced to call Victoria home.

Rosa's return threatens the family she abandoned, and the confrontation she started is far from over.

Opening excerpt

Not only did she bring another man with her,

She wanted me to voluntarily give up my position as her husband.

“Gavin nearly lost his sight saving me. I’ve already promised to marry him. If you sign the divorce papers without a fuss, I’ll let you continue living here.”
