The story

When the gates open, her husband Elliott, a defense attorney, and her brother Samuel, a doctor, confess their betrayal: it was Mandy, the Langleys' fragile foster daughter, who hit those people, and they framed Brooke to protect her. Elliott has already divorced her, fathered three children with Mandy, and taken the house, stocks and patents she signed away as insurance papers. Now they expect her to live quietly alongside the woman who stole everything.
Brooke walks into her own foyer to find Mandy's wedding portrait and a basement room waiting for her. She has no intention of being well-behaved.
