For ten years, Evelyn has stood beside Alex in secret, giving up a Harvard research post, losing their child, and missing her mother's final moments so his biotech company could rise. At a yacht party, he finally pulls out a ring, and she reaches for the dark blue cufflinks she crafted as an anniversary gift.
