Encountering a Bizarre Boss, I Quit!

When an Indian client moves a security platform launch up by ten days, Rachel and her twelve-person project team pull an all-nighter in the office, skipping every clock-out. By morning, the system has marked the whole team as leaving early the day before and absent today. Emma brings Rachel the attendance records, and Rachel heads to HR to fix a mistake that security footage should easily prove.

HR, nicknamed the Wives Club, refuses to remove the records without a leave slip. Rachel loses her temper, then learns the boss only arrives at 3 PM and leaves at 5:30, and that even a team lead needs an appointment. She secures five minutes at 5:20 PM. Back at the office, Emma threatens to walk out and Olivia fears losing a $300 attendance bonus and her year-end pay.

Rachel waits outside the boss's office, carrying her team's missing money and their trust on her shoulders.
