My Husband's Other Life

For ten years, Estelle Shepherd believed her marriage to Zachary Cole was complete: he insisted he wanted no children, and she accepted a life for two. Then, on Christmas night, she overhears him whispering to someone on the balcony, promising a visit on New Year's Day. When she asks about the word "Daddy," he claims she misheard a friend's child.

After he falls asleep, Estelle unlocks his phone and finds an app called Baby Steps, hidden behind the date 0101. Inside is a parenting album: five years of birthdays, beach trips and a newborn's feet, all captioned by a father she never knew. She follows him the next morning to a house where a little boy calls him Daddy, and the door is opened by Yara Silvers, her former college roommate.

Cornered, Zachary blames Yara, his mother and Estelle herself, while Yara later kneels at Estelle's office, pregnant with his second child. Estelle calls a lawyer, Mr. Lambert, determined that Zachary end up with nothing.
