Story

The story

Because his wife Serena claimed a severe fear of pregnancy, Logan underwent a vasectomy for her. When she returned from a long business trip, she carried a fresh C-section scar. On their tenth wedding anniversary she left him alone, and that night he saw Julian's post celebrating their baby boy's first month, with Serena cradling the newborn. Hidden male enhancement pills surfaced in their closet.

When Serena comes home, she scolds him for not cooking her broth, brushing off the blisters Julian's call caused when she spilled boiling soup on his hand. She forgets their anniversary is that day, then rushes off to soothe Julian's crying baby. Logan asks for a divorce; she hurls her purse and storms out, insisting she is only helping her missing sister Chloe's family.

Julian lures Logan to a baby boutique, shoves the infant into his arms and flaunts hickeys, boasting about Serena. Serena slaps Logan, shoves a display rack onto him, and leaves him bleeding on the floor.

Opening excerpt

Because my wife said she had a severe fear of pregnancy, I got a vasectomy for her.

Later, she claimed she had to go on a long-term business trip. But when she finally returned, there was a fresh C-section scar across her lower belly.

On our tenth wedding anniversary, she walked out and left me completely alone.

That night, I happened to open Instagram and saw Julian’s post.

"Celebrating our baby boy’s first month! Serena, you went through so much for this."

In the photo, my wife and Julian were smiling sweetly, cradling a newborn in their arms.
