Story

The story

A new keeper at Sunnyside Zoo is added to a group chat called “A Hundred Ways to Kill a Human,” where every member uses an animal picture. She soon realises the chat is real: the animals are discussing how to eat her, and planning a revolt when the Christmas crowds arrive. Pedro the Parrot, George the Gorilla, Thor the Tiger and Tucker the Elephant all claim their share of her.

The zoo is filthy and the animals are starving and resentful. Her coworker, Hose Guy, sprays the elephants and curses them, and a monkey throws a rock at her head. When she cleans the elephant enclosure and buys fruit and vegetables with her own money, the elephants begin to soften, though Thor the Tiger warns that human kindness hides a hunter's rifle.
