Story

The story

For five years, Audrey chased Liam, the aloof golden boy everyone admired, and for one year she was his girlfriend. She paid off a hundred thousand dollars of his debt, closed her bar, and gave up the wild habits he hated, learning to act like a proper lady. Yet Liam never showed her affection, and he repeatedly threatened to break up over her smoking, drinking, or dyeing her hair.

When she overhears him call her too wild and not marriage material, preferring good girls like the heiress Chloe, Audrey finally decides to let go. Liam, however, seems unable to accept her sudden calm, and Chloe's easy familiarity with him only makes Audrey feel like a third wheel.

He was aloof and arrogant, and he was always disgusted by me.
