The Price of a Mistress

Joanna has known about her husband Julian's affair for years, silently enduring a life of cutbacks while he lavished money and attention on a younger woman. When that woman, an ambitious finance executive, invites Joanna to step aside, Joanna agrees to consider a divorce—but only after hearing the whole story. She listens calmly, then turns the conversation on its head, pointing out that a woman who wants to be Julian's right hand should not expect to raise his seven-year-old son.

The encounter leaves the mistress shaken and retreating, but Julian returns home ready to end the marriage. Joanna presents him with two stark options and a recording of the mistress's own words, making clear she will not be pushed aside cheaply. Yet her real battle is not over money: it is over Leo, the son who still believes his parents love each other. As Julian presses for a swift divorce, Joanna must decide how far she is willing to go to protect her child's future.
