Future Me Warned Me Not To Love Him

On her sister Seraphina's birthday, Sienna is dragged into an alley and beaten by two masked men. A woman who looks like her—herself, ten years from now—appears and tells her the attackers are her husband Grant and her brother Harrison, and that the footage is already looping in the family group chat as Seraphina's birthday prank. Bruised and bloodied, Sienna saves the video and calls the police.

At the Grand Regency Hotel, her family celebrates Seraphina while dismissing Sienna's injuries. Her mother calls the bruises superficial; her father warns her not to make a scene. Sienna points out the officers and names Grant and Harrison as her attackers. Both are led away in handcuffs. Her father threatens to disown her if she does not drop the charges, so she surrenders her keys and walks out.

Weeks later, Grant is released on bail and begs her to drop the suit. Sienna demands her project bonuses and reveals the assault cost her the pregnancy she was carrying. As the old longing to be loved wavers inside her, the shadow woman's warning returns: think of who she becomes if she stays.
