Story

The story

For four years, Natalie Charlton has insisted on one rule with her boyfriend Ethan: every cost is split, every expense settled fairly. She calls it the foundation of a lasting relationship, and Ethan has learned never to ask her for anything — not even medicine when he is sick.

When Ronald arrives with a graduation gift Natalie secretly sent him, Ethan quietly cancels his plane ticket and calls a design firm in Sunridge City about a position he once turned down. He finally understands what she has taught him: never ask again, and never look back.
