Story

The story

Emma spots a job posting for Knights’ Tavern and messages its owner, Lucas Boone. She has one goal: to sleep with him. Lucas, handsome and effortlessly charming, hires her on the spot and soon invites her to move into his spare room, closer to the bar.

Emma treats men as toys, savouring the tease far more than the conquest, and she sets out to unravel Lucas piece by piece. Yet his clumsy blushes and easy kindness unsettle her, and a dream about him leaves her shaken. Lucas may look like an innocent college guy, but her instincts warn her he is dangerous.

Dangerous things are always the most fascinating.

Opening excerpt

The place was pretty far from my apartment, but I went anyway.

Because the bar was owned by Lucas Boone.

My latest goal was to sleep with him.

I DM’d Lucas about the job posting for his bar, “Knights’ Tavern.”

[Hey Lucas, your bar needs help—think I’d fit in?]

Lucas replied quickly.

[Having a gorgeous girl like you would be an honor. Come by tomorrow and check it out.]
