Lost My Heart Under Her Spotlight

For seven years, Noah Reed has been the unseen force behind Vivian Cross. He rewrote her scripts, buried her scandals, drank for her at dinners, and carried her from a mocked pretty face to a Best Actress nomination. Every time he asked her to rest, she answered with the same threat: if he could not stand it, they should break up.

On the eve of the awards ceremony, Noah receives photos of Vivian kissing Jamie Cole in a hotel hallway—on the same night she claimed her stomach hurt and asked him to skip an investment meeting. Her only reply is that Jamie was under pressure and they were rehearsing. When she wins Best Actress, she thanks Jamie from the stage and never speaks Noah's name. In the dressing room she demands he apologize to Jamie. Noah refuses, and the ring he saved three years to buy is already in the trash.

At the after-party, Vivian presses a glass of wine into his hand and tells him not to ruin the mood. When Jamie spills red wine across his white shirt, Noah must decide how much of himself is left to give.
