Love Me Slowly, Lose Me Gently

Scott Lakin locks Jennie inside a car while she is having a heart attack, refusing to free her until she apologizes, because her pain is upsetting his childhood sweetheart, Margot Williams. He blocks her calls, and after she is discharged she finds him feeding Margot chicken soup and asking about the baby in her belly. Jennie returns to her hometown for half a month and unfriends him everywhere.

When she comes back, Scott is waiting at the train station. He drags her to a wedding-dress fitting, mocks how she looks, then leaves the photoshoot the moment Margot calls. Jennie cuts the dress to shreds, calls off the wedding, and tells the planner the groom has fallen in love with someone else. At the office, Margot arrives leaning on Scott, and Ava Carten asks Jennie whether the two have broken up.

On Jennie's birthday, Scott books a dinner, but Margot shares the celebration and only half a cake is left for Jennie. When Margot doubles over in pain, Scott hurls the cake at Jennie's face and then, flustered, tries to wipe it away.
