Story

The story

Linnea lands a dream job as the "canary" of Roman Sterling, a wealthy, insomniac CEO who needs her to dodge a business marriage. The pay is high, the effort low, and she mostly sleeps while he uses her as a human pillow. Then Roman is set up and goes bankrupt, vanishing for days before texting her to leave.

A System appears in her head, demanding she humiliate and dump him to reignite his fighting spirit so he can rise again and meet the heroine. Too lazy to yell, Linnea refuses. She finds Roman in a cramped basement apartment, hands him a bank card from selling the luxury gifts he never knew she left unboxed, and stays.
