That One Cup of Coffee Ended My Marriage

Lyra is a housewife whose husband Alric is praised as a doting spouse for bringing her tea daily from Blue Pop. When she learns he bought Sparkbucks coffee for his first love, Seraphina, and he and their son Adam mock her for it, she finally asks for a divorce.

Alric refuses to accept it, insisting he has supported her for years and that she will never win custody of Adam. He accuses her of ruining Seraphina's career and driving her out of the country, though Lyra remembers Seraphina's fatal mistake during her pregnancy, the loss of her daughter, Adam's congenital heart defect, and the attack that left her unable to bear more children.

As Seraphina weeps and Alric comforts her, Lyra lays down the divorce papers. She tells him she never cared about being Mrs. Fenmoor, and that it is not she who cannot tolerate Seraphina, but the two of them who have already pushed her out.
