He Wore My Robe For Her

On International Women's Day, Diana watches her husband Parker carry a bouquet of peonies to the apartment next door, where his first love, Lydia, lives. He wears the navy silk robe Diana gave him, its collar open, and promises he will return in five minutes. Diana remembers catching Parker with Lydia three years earlier, and how she stayed for the sake of their families and their fathers' business ties.

Parker leaves, and through the window Diana sees Lydia pull him into her arms before the curtains close. Hours pass. Lydia posts a photo of the peonies with Parker's robe visible in the background, and Parker has already liked it. Diana packs a suitcase in the penthouse she bought herself and waits until midnight to call him.

When Parker finally returns, smelling of Lydia's perfume and carrying Lydia's umbrella, Diana points him to the divorce papers on the coffee table.
