Story

The story

After refusing for the third time to divorce Alexandre, Inès Delattre exposes his affair on social media, only to be reported by him for invasion of privacy. His connections and unscrupulous lawyers send her to five days in a cell. On the third day he visits, bringing their son Hugo's prize-winning school essay, titled "Ma mère est une psychopathe". Something in her breaks, and she agrees to the divorce.

She asks only for a million euros and gives up custody of Hugo, who screams that he will never go with her. Yet her mother Hélène Delattre, absent for five years, arrives with a lawyer and takes her out of the police station, asking whether she is finally ready to come with her. Inès says she will, once the divorce is final.

Returning home, she finds Hugo and Alexandre unmoved by her release, and she insists they go to the notary that very day.
