His Mistress’s Final Message Before Her Wedding

Liam cheated with Chloe, an employee twelve years his junior. When Scarlett exposed them, Chloe was disgraced and left town, and Liam lost his executive position. Under pressure, he apologized and came home, devoting himself to Scarlett and their newborn daughter Lily while rebuilding his career. Yet Scarlett cannot forget what she found: six hundred love letters he wrote to Chloe over two years, and the lace thong Chloe gave him in return.

One night, an unsigned message on Liam's phone asks him to come to Manhattan before Chloe's wedding. Scarlett watches him pack, taunting him, and reads his love letters aloud until his composure cracks. He insists he has already chosen her and begs her to stop punishing him. When Lily cries, he leaves, and Scarlett later finds him drinking alone in the kitchen.

Then Chloe calls. Liam tells her they should not meet again and wishes her happiness, but before he can hang up, Chloe asks to speak a few words to Scarlett.
