Story

The story

On their wedding night, Melissa Olson hands her new husband a black blindfold and tells him her body belongs only to Matt. When he refuses, she storms out of the villa in her red sports car, leaving him to face the ruin of a marriage he never forced. The union was her father's idea, a lifeline for a family business on the edge of collapse, and he had agreed out of years of love for her, even after his own parents disowned him for it. Now Matt sends him a taunting photo and a public post claiming Melissa as his bride, and Melissa herself floods his phone with messages declaring she never wanted him. He posts the truth and walks away, but the fallout is only beginning.

Opening excerpt

On our wedding night, my wife demanded that I wear a blindfold. She said her body was meant only for her true love.

The words hit me like a bucket of ice water, and I snapped, "Are you my wife or his?"

She shot back even louder, defiance blazing in her eyes. "I married you. Does that mean I have to show you my body? Coercion is still coercion, even in marriage. My body is only for Matt to see because you simply don't deserve it."

Later, she said she wanted to truly be my wife. I found myself thinking she wasn't worthy anymore.
