My Wife Used Tons Of Protection During Her Business Trip

When a hotel calls to bill Ayla Jewell's husband for eighteen condoms used during her solo business trip, Chris Gage's world tilts. Ayla claims a stranded woman shared her room, but Chris quietly pays the bill in person and talks his way into the hallway footage. What he sees is his wife pinned against a wall by a young man in a hoodie, wearing the cross necklace Chris had fasted weeks to receive at Skylight Chapel and given her on their second anniversary.

He calls his assistant, John Barnes, to run a background check on the pair from the room beside 1208 at the Mistvale Hotel and to buy something, price no object. Then Ayla phones, businesslike, to say she has kept intern Mason White and has a surprise waiting at the office.

The next morning Chris finds his office supplies in the trash, his office replaced by a storage closet, and Mason boasting of a Marriott Group deal. Ayla defends the intern and calls Chris dead weight, unaware of what he has built for her and of the gift he has promised in return.
