My Childhood Crush Wasn’t the Father of My Baby

At her birthday party, Chloe spends a night with Ethan, the boy next door she has chased for ten years. He wakes with cold disgust, calling it a cheap trick, and she says nothing. She cuts off contact for three months, until his mother brings him to her house to ask a favor: Ethan is getting engaged, and Chloe, who studied interior design, is asked to renovate the couple's new house. In the kitchen, Chloe calmly reveals she is three months pregnant — and that the baby is not Ethan's. His mother apologizes; Ethan rages and vows he will never take responsibility.

Her own mother is stunned, certain Chloe is ruining her reputation out of jealousy. Chloe shows the ultrasound report and insists the father knows and is willing to take responsibility, though she keeps his name to herself. Ethan has blocked her, cleared her belongings from his car, and announced his new relationship, while a certain someone has already sent money and baby supplies.

When Ethan's car blocks her driveway and he orders her to get in, Chloe must decide how much of the truth to hold back.
