Overtime Torture by My Wife's Assistant

Barry Thorpe is down with a 104-degree fever when his wife Nadine Sullivan's assistant, Terrence Lowell, refuses his sick leave and forces him onto an overtime shift. Terrence claims Nadine is away on a tropical island with her 18th lover and that he is in charge. When Barry calls Nadine, she coldly backs Terrence and reminds him that she pays his mother's hospital bills. Barry asks for a divorce.

Terrence starts a company poll mocking the divorce, and Nadine and the whole group vote that Barry will never go through with it. Nadine has controlled Barry for eight years, denying him a salary, making him eat leftovers, and forcing him to serve her lovers. But Barry has already hired a lawyer, secured a major order, and received another company's offer.

When Terrence tears up his resignation and turns the group against him, Nadine orders buckets of ice water poured over Barry until he collapses. He wakes in the hospital to Nadine's disgust and Terrence's kiss, just as a poised woman, Ms. Keller, walks in.
