Climbing for Love, Watching Her Stray

Skyler and his girlfriend Amber Garcia have planned a snow-mountain climb as their engagement trip, each intending to propose at the summit. But Amber has invited along Theo Yorkson, a young junior teammate from her research institute, and her attention keeps drifting to him. When the guide Mike Marlowe finds an extra set of thermal gear, Amber gives it to Theo without hesitation, and Skyler's friend Charlie Jameson erupts over the satellite phone at the slight.

As the team climbs higher, Amber switches groups to steady Theo, teaches him each strap and buckle, and then asks Skyler to wait alone at Camp Three while she takes Theo back down. Skyler refuses, insisting the proposal happen at the summit. Then dark clouds roll in, and Mike warns that a blizzard may be coming.

With the weather closing in and Amber's loyalties in question, Skyler must decide how much he is willing to endure for a moment she may no longer want to share with him.
