Story

The story

As Luna, Molly believed she had everything: a powerful alpha named Ethan, a home in the pack, and a child on the way. But when Ethan's former fated mate Amber returns, cured of the poison that once drove her away, the whispers begin. Molly's weak wolf and ordinary Omega blood have always made her an outsider, yet she trusted that Ethan's love was enough.

Then she overhears the truth. Ethan never loved her; he chose her only because her voice sounds like Amber's, a substitute kept to soothe a fated mate's pain. Worse, he offers her to a friend and forgets the cheese allergy that once nearly killed her. Pregnant and heartbroken, Molly follows him to a bar and watches him kiss Amber with a passion he never showed her.

But Molly is no fragile Omega. She is the pack's most gifted herbalist and healer, and when she finally walks away, Ethan will have to remember exactly what he lost.

Opening excerpt

Alpha Ethan's fated mate Amber, who went abroad for treatment after being poisoned, has recovered and returned.

Seeing the photo Ethan posted of them together, I comforted myself. We're mates now.

Ethan loves me now.

Until I overheard his conversation with a friend.

"Ethan, Amber has recovered and come back. Why haven't you broken up with her yet? Don't tell me you've actually fallen for that replacement?"

Ethan's voice was cold and mocking. "How could I? I'm only with her because her voice sounds like Amber's. An Omega... If she's obedient, maybe I'll let her continue as my mistress.
