Refusing The Northern Alpha's Fatal Rejection

I transmigrated into the body of Alvina Buckley, the most despised noble daughter in the Lycan empire.

The moment I opened my eyes, my terrifying Lycan husband, the Lord of the North, was standing over me with pure disgust, about to sever our mate-bond.

The original owner of this body had just framed his mother with silver poison at a royal banquet, sending the high Luna to a freezing prison.

Now, everyone wanted me dead. His royal sister was ready to tear my throat out, and the entire Northern Knight Order treated me like vermin.

In the original storyline, my husband would step out of this room, obey a royal summons, and have his energy channels permanently destroyed by a silver-laced whip.

All of this was orchestrated by Jens Wolfe, the hypocritical noble the original Alvina had foolishly worshipped. After my husband was crippled, I would be abandoned and left to rot in a dark cell.

I refused to let that be my fate. Why should I die for a traitor's manipulative game?

Hearing him speak the fatal rejection vow, I threw off the blankets, lunged forward, and grabbed his heavy military uniform.

"No. I do not accept."

I looked straight into his golden eyes and exposed the entire death trap waiting for him in the capital.

When Jens Wolfe came knocking the next morning to gloat over my misery, I calmly poured a cup of tea.

Because I had already hidden my monstrous husband behind the grand hall's tapestry, just waiting for the traitor to confess his own treason.
