Bound to His Rival

Vera Nightingale is the only human raised among the werewolves, and Alpha Kieran Ashford has always claimed her as his own — until the night of their marking ceremony, when he leaves her waiting and returns with an Omega named Wendy Quinn. He tells Vera he wants to keep the woman, and Vera agrees, though betrayal, for her, happens only once.

When Vera goes to Kieran's door, she hears Wendy inside, claiming to be his fated mate and carrying his pup. Kieran insists Vera is the one he loves, but Vera refuses to share him or raise another woman's child. With no family and nowhere to go, she turns to the vampire lord Soren Blackwell, who offers her a way out.

Vera tells Soren she regrets rejecting him and agrees to become his queen. He marks her and promises to return for her in four days, leaving Vera to face Kieran and Wendy alone.
