Story

The story

At the Hermès boutique, Michelle Wallace hears a voice from the son in her belly: the zombies are coming in a month. She abandons her luxury shopping and starts stockpiling rice, pork, generators and antibiotics, renting a cold-storage unit and buying up an entire market's fresh pork. Her son claims he remembers a previous life, and when he reveals the combination to her husband Liam's private safe, she knows it is real.

She digs up the mansion's imported lawn to plant potatoes, replaces the windows with bulletproof glass and steel shutters, and installs a mechanical deadbolt. Liam's cousin Jessica mocks her and photographs the chaos, while Liam, confused but indulgent, only offers more money. When Michelle finally tells Liam the world is ending, he does not believe her, and she resolves to prepare alone.
