Story

The story

In high school, Yuna White finally confessed to her longtime crush, Edward Scott. The next day, he vanished without a word, and she moved on, dating someone else and burying that chapter of her life.

Ten years later, Edward returns as the new project director at her real estate company—her boss's boss. In public he is polished and composed, but in private he blushes while inviting her to meet his kitten. As deputy in Cost Control and Procurement, Yuna must face him daily, unsure whether he even remembers her.

When her manager, Liam Murray, makes a drunken pass after a welcome dinner, Edward steps in and offers to take her home. Trapped together in the backseat, old feelings and unresolved questions resurface.

Opening excerpt

Years passed, and I thought I had buried that part of my life. But ten years later, fate threw us back together—this time, he was my new boss. Not just any boss, but my boss’ boss.
