My Husband Demanded Five Million for His Own Son's Bone Marrow

Sarah Fox's young son, Cliff Gilbert, has leukemia, and the only matching bone marrow donor is her husband, Dana Gilbert. But at the hospital, his mother, Audrey Chavez, drags him away from the operating room and demands Sarah sign divorce papers and an asset waiver before he will donate. Sarah gives up everything she owns, and Dana begins the procedure.

Two hours later, the doctor reports that Dana stopped halfway, and the marrow collected is not enough to save Cliff. Audrey then demands five million dollars in cash for the rest, while Dana sends a message promising to finish only once the money is paid. With no other match available and Cliff's condition critical, Sarah's friend, the lawyer Sabina Pruitt, brings the money but places it in a hospital trust instead of handing it over.

Now Audrey refuses to let Dana donate until they are paid, and Sarah must fight to keep her son alive.
