Story

The story

The night before her engagement party, Elara Gabriel is left broken when her stepsister Ailsa's reckless driving puts her in a coma. Her fiancé Joey Sterling locks Ailsa away and spends his fortune trying to save Elara, but she slips into a vegetative state, hearing him vow to wait for her forever.

Three years later Elara wakes to find Ailsa pregnant, wearing Joey's ring and claiming they are to be married. Her father Arthur Gabriel and his wife Miranda push her to move on, while Joey keeps running to Ailsa's side. Diagnosed with stomach cancer and given two weeks to live, Elara finds her mother's house occupied by the pair, her mother's portrait shattered in the trash.

Done waiting, Elara walks into the engagement party her father throws for her return, carrying documents and ready to reclaim what is hers.
